Engineering Manager
A leading AI-driven technology company is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead their front-end and back-end development teams. The Engineering Manager will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and play a key role in shaping software architecture, driving technical excellence, and fostering a high-performance engineering culture.
📌 Important: This is a full-time, remote position for candidates based in Argentina.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a fully remote development team of ~20 engineers across frontend and backend disciplines
- Collaborate with CTO and Chief AI Officer to define and execute the technical vision and strategy for our products
- Oversee software architecture and ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability of our solutions
- Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and team deliverables to meet company goals
- Guide the team in adopting best practices for coding, testing, and DevOps processes
- Foster a collaborative engineering culture that emphasizes continuous improvement and innovation
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or related field
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in leadership roles
- Hands-on experience with both front-end and back-end technologies (e.g., React, Python)
- Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi)
- Strong software architecture expertise, with a focus on building scalable and maintainable systems
- Experience with AWS, including certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer)
- Proven ability to manage and scale remote engineering teams effectively
- A track record of delivering complex software projects on time and within budget
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- C1/C2 (advanced/proficient) level English is required
Experience in any of the following is preferred, not required:
- Experience working in startups or similar, fast-paced environments
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts, tools, and applications
- Strong understanding of security best practices for cloud-based applications
