🚀We are seeking a skilled and proactive Principal Application Engineer to join our Pressure Sensitive Adhesives (PSA) division. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer value through hands-on product demonstrations, technical troubleshooting, and application-specific support. Acting as the key technical liaison between customers and internal teams, you will lead projects, provide expert insights, and drive innovative solutions to ensure customer satisfaction and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead on-site product demonstrations, troubleshooting sessions, and customer training to optimize product performance.
• Provide prompt technical support, including product recommendations, problem resolution, and complaint management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—product development, manufacturing, supply chain, and marketing—to deliver tailored technical solutions.
• Manage customer-facing projects, ensuring consistent communication of progress, results, and technical recommendations.
• Coordinate laboratory testing requests and compile comprehensive reports with actionable insights.
• Contribute to the development of new PSA technology platforms by integrating industry trends and customer feedback.
• Stay informed on market trends by actively participating in professional organizations and industry associations.
• Travel approximately 40-50% within the U.S., with occasional travel to Mexico and Canada.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
• 10-15+ years of experience in Technical Service, Engineering, or Development within the Pressure Sensitive Adhesives (PSA) industry.
• Hands-on expertise with adhesive coating or converting processes, including hot melt, UV curable, solvent-based, or water-based adhesives and coatings.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for complex technical challenges.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with customers and internal stakeholders effectively.
• Proven project management experience with a track record of successful execution and delivery.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and levels.

• Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of equipment used in PSA applications.
• Experience with converting operations such as slitting.
• A demonstrated ability to influence innovation and drive advancements in the industry.
