🚀We are seeking a proactive and strategic Senior Project Manager to take a leading role in our San Diego office, focusing on growth and succession planning. This position provides a rare opportunity to work closely with the firm’s leadership team to drive the expansion of a highly skilled group of civil engineers, surveyors, and designers. For the right candidate, the role may include ownership opportunities as part of a long-term succession plan, reinforcing our dedication to sustainable growth and a forward-looking vision for land development.
Position Details:
Location: San Diego, California, USA
Salary: $130,000 - $170,000 yearly
Type: Onsite
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee multiple civil engineering projects, including residential and commercial land development, from initial planning to final delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise junior engineers, CAD professionals, and drafters to ensure successful project execution.
- Partner with senior leadership to advance business development and growth strategies.
- Design and review detailed engineering solutions, including grading, storm drainage systems, utility planning, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure adherence to stormwater regulations and oversee project permitting and approvals.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to create, refine, and review technical designs.
- Foster strong communication with clients, team members, and leadership to maintain positive relationships and align project goals.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE) in California.
- Minimum of 10 years of civil engineering experience, specializing in land development within the San Diego region.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and comprehensive knowledge of stormwater regulations.
- Advanced technical expertise in grading, storm drain systems, and utility design.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects effectively and lead project teams successfully.
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with senior leadership.
- Experience in strategic planning and interest in long-term business development.
- Proven leadership and mentoring abilities to support the growth of junior staff.
- In-depth knowledge of local land development regulations and industry trends.
